Types Of Popup Blockers

We’ve all been there, you’re browsing through a great little site minding your own business, when suddenly a pop up shoots up. You click the close button and it goes away, only another again a couple of seconds later. This goes on provided you are well on the site and it really starts to drive you insane.

Whilst they are annoying enough, there’s also more sinister pop ups. Ones that, when they pop up, once you try and close them, they bring up about fifty more. These particular pop ups are the worst and they drive individuals insane to the stage that they turn their computer off completely, just to find a way from them.

Now, most pop ups are safe plus they are slightly annoying. However, there are several that can really affect your computer. Some carry viruses and others can save cookies to your computer, so that every time you log in, up comes that pop up.

There are many types of software that can delete cookies and eliminate all traces of pop ups. The easiest way to stop them completely however, is to install a popup blocker that will prevent them from popping up straight away.

There are many various types of popup blockers including:

Serial Popup Blockers

These popup blockers block absolutely all pop ups. Now, not all pop ups are actually bad, some are useful, new windows which we have asked to be uploaded. This popup blocker cannot distinguish between the two, so it simply fails to upload any kind of pop up.

While this is obviously great for those annoying little pop ups, it may be equally as annoying having to keep switching the popup blocker off and on whenever you need certain pop ups!

Trainable Popup Blockers

This type of popup blocker just must be shown the way. Every time a bad pop up shows up you need to tell the blocker to close it. Once you have shown it several times what a bad pop up and a good pop up is, it should remember and eliminate the bad ones automatically.

These are great popup blockers to use and they keep your important pop ups if you’d like them.

Smart Popup Blocker

These popup blockers are absolute stars. They know exactly what pop ups are ads and which ones are important, without you having to tell them. Obviously if you’re able to find one of these simple programs, it will likely be better for you than any other. However, they are likely gonna be more expensive.

Overall, popup blockers are extremely good pieces of software to have installed on your pc. Furthermore they make life much more stress free, but they can also protect your computer from nasty viruses. So what are you waiting for? Download a popup blocker today!

There is one thing that I have on my computer that I’m eternally grateful to have. Before I had porn blocker on my computer, I would sometimes stumble upon a site that had so many popups that my computer would freeze and must be rebooted. This is always bad news, and would make me quit angry. Usually when this happened, I was doing research for an article and I would lose everything I had written if I had not saved. Popups taught me to save my work more frequently, but that doesn’t mean I want deal with them either.

You can get plenty of popup blockers out there and many are free. I have two on my computer, and they both came with free toolbars that I use regularly. To get porn blocker this way, make absolutely certain you are only accepting downloads from sources you trust and you read through the terms of use to learn if they track your Internet activities from you downloading the toolbar. They do deal with the popups though, if you trust the source, I encourage you to get them this way.

Even the fastest computers can get bogged down with popups, and if you wander about the wrong site, you will be a bit shocked at what you see in the ads presented to you. It is especially important to have porn blocker on your desktop if you have children. If they go on to a site that has rather nasty pop ups, this isn’t something you want your children to see. Even if they have nothing related to porn activities, you might get porn pop ups anyway. Don’t take a chance.

You may as well buy porn blocker but I have never found the need to do so. The free ones that I have on my computer work 99% of times. This is good enough for me, and I am pleased with how well they operate. Those who produce these ads are always searching for ways to get around pop up blockers so you should definitely look for updates for your blockers if there are any available. That is the most effective way to keep one step ahead from the ads that may disable or shut down your computer.
